LAURA SANDS, Ph.D. Sands' research is focued on promoting optimal functioning in older adults, developing metrics for determining whether a patient is functioning optimally, and developing methods for detecting whether individual dementia patients benefit from pharmaceutical therapy designed to enhance cognitive functioning.
