Andrew Lee Branum, a PHSI research assistant, Dr. J. Eric Dietz, the Director of PHSI, and Dr. David R. Black, a Purdue professor and PHSI faculty partner, have recently been approved for publication in the Journal of Emergency Management.
The article entitled, "An evaluation of local incident command system personal in a pandemic influenza" will be released Spring 2010.

The Open Compute Project, started by Facebook a year and a half ago, is teaming up with Purdue to lead to new innovation for their company. A computer and information technology class will be offered in the Spring 2013 semester that will allow students to become familiar with the technological aspects of Facebook that they seek to improve, including data center, infrastructure hardware, and server designs. The members of the class will break into teams and work to develop proposals for solving the design challenges.Read Full Story

This fall Purdue is expecting one of its largest enrollments of veterans seeking an education completely paid, for some, by Uncle Sam. Officials numbers are not yet available but the final tally could top 500 students.
