REGISTER to Attend - October 29 informational meeting for the PU and IU's new study!

Register now for the October 29th event at IU Health Arnett to learn more about the study that researchers at Purdue and Indiana University have begun. The study is called the Cancer Care Engineering (CCE) project and aims to better understand which people are most at-risk for developing colon cancer and which are not. This is particularly important because early detection is key to reducing death from colon cancer. They also hope to learn more about which tumors respond to which treatments.

Several Tippecanoe County area organizations are collaborating to create a resource guide for people with cancer. The guide containsinformation on community resources that people may need during treatment, such as assistance with understanding health insurance, counseling, pain management and support groups.Read Full Story

The goal of this symposium is to bring together global public health actors, advocates, and researchers on breast cancer prevention, to discuss the impact of environmental factors such as foods, stress, exercise on the genome. The symposium will take us on a journey across disciplines to study different levels of gene environment interactions. Concretely, we will explore the epigenetic mechanisms of gene expression control, health policy and practices, socioeconomic and cultural contexts in which these environmental factors come into play.Read Full Story
