Wayne State University is Michigan's only urban research university, fulfilling a unique niche in providing access to a world-class education at a great value. Wayne State's 11 schools and colleges offer more than 350 major subject areas to 33,000 graduate and undergraduate students. The Civil and Environmental Engineering Department offers a graduate degree programs in Transportation. The Department has several active research projects involving safety and mobility. Wayne State University will participate in research studies performed by the NEXTRANS Center.
