Martin University (Strategic Partner)

As the only predominantly African-American institution of higher learning in Indiana, Martin University has served Indianapolis' poor, minority and adult learners for over 30 years. The faculty of 40 educates a student body of 1300, comprising of low-income, minority adult learners, studying everything from business administration to music, chemistry and psychology, in a healing and freedom-minded environment. As a NEXTRANS Center partner, Martin University will develop programs to attract a non-traditional demographic segment in the central Indiana area to the transportation profession through participation in research, education and outreach activities.
