NEXTRANS Hosts Visiting Scholar

The NEXTRANS Center recently hosted Priyanka Khan from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Kanpur as part of the Center's Visiting Scholars Program. Priyanka conducted research-in-residence at Purdue University from January - May 2010, under the guidance of Dr. Partha Chakroborty (IIT) and Dr. Srinivas Peeta (NEXTRANS Director). This joint-research project, titled, "Addressing Uncertainties in Travel Time Estimates using Artificial Intelligence Techniques for Intelligent Transportation Applications," marks the beginning of an international collaboration between NEXTRANS and IIT.
Priyanka holds a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering from Jadavpur Unviersity in Kolkata, India, and is currently pursuing a Masters Degree at IIT.
Martin University group visits Purdue
