  • NEXTRANS 2012 Student of the Year


    TedThe NEXTRANS Center has selected Ted Reinhold as its 2012 Student of the Year. Ted is a dual-degree Master's student in Civil and Environmental Engineering and City and Regional Planning at The Ohio State University. Ted received his Bachelor's in Civil Engineering from the University of Notre Dame in 2010.


    Ted was selected for his strong academic standing, research contributions, organization and management of team-based research activities, efforts in representing OSU's transit research to stakeholders, leadership in planning and executing Transportation Student Group activities, broad professional experience, and his interest in advancing transportation systems analysis and planning. He accepted his award from the Council of University Transportation Centers in January in Washington, D.C.

    The NEXTRANS Center has joined with other Regional University Transportation Centers to participate in the Transportation Leadership Graduate Certificate Program (TGLC).


    This distance-learning program allows participants to complete interdisciplinary coursework offered by some of the country's finest graduate transportation programs without leaving their current professions. The program is geared towards early to mid-career transportation professionals interested in advancing to management and leadership roles, as well candidates interested in transferring their skills to transportation from another industry.
