British journalist travels around the world evaluating environmental issues

Fred Pearce has visited over 64 countries exploring issues like land grabbing, overpopulation and water shortages. Whether hes investigating acid rain in Germany or agricultural issues in India, he allows his personal experiences in each country to shape the stories he writes. Pearce gave a lecture entitled Panic or Peak? at Purdue University Thursday night. He discussed the effect overpopulation has on Earths renewable and nonrenewable resources while incorporating anecdotes about his travels in Ethiopia and India.
