Impact Statement & Explanation of Research:
The proposed research investigates the applicability and optimal design of active cooling solutions for microelectronics using synthetic jets. Initial results have shown excellent potential for active cooling control based on the fluidic interaction of adjacent synthetic jets. This work can leverage the potential of synthetic jets for smart electronics cooling solutions, and develop a robust and cost-effective alternative to competing techniques.
