Novel RF-MEMS devices design, fabrication and characterization; Reconfigurable RF/microwave and millimeter wave components.
Impact Statement & Explanation of Research:
Dr. Liu's research is primarily focused on the design and implementation of novel reconfigurable RF/microwave and millimeter wave components using Micro-Electromechanical (MEMS) technologies. Such devices and components will change the design paradigms of future wireless communication systems, allowing higher connectivity and more functionalities with smaller size and longer battery life.
