A workshop sponsored by the US National Science Foundation, The International Centre for Materials Science (part of JNCASR, Bangalore, India), and Purdue University (West Lafayette, IN USA)
A summary of the goals of this workshop follows:
- Establish new collaborations and joint research programs that lead to new projects co-sponsored by organizations in the US and India.
- Facilitate existing and new collaborations and exchange visits by academic and laboratory staff researchers to take advantage of unique equipment, resources, and best practices at partnering institutions.
- Create new collaborative contributions to cyberinfrastructure research and educational resources such as nanoHUB.org and thermalHUB.org.
The BNC leverages advances in nanoscale science and engineering to create innovative nanotechnologies addressing societal challenges and opportunities in computing, communications, the environment, security, energy independence, and health.
