LSAMP Professional Development Course

LSAMP - Purdue is committed to providing our students with all available resources to ensure not only success in the research program but success in their STEM major as well. Beginning Spring 2011 undergraduate participants are required to enroll in the one-credit, pass/no-pass seminar course, GS 49000.  The LSAMP Professional Development Seminar will enhance students’ research experience by providing professional growth topics, including but not limited to reflective journals, group discussions, and career exploration. Invited guest speakers (faculty, staff, graduate students, and alumni) engage students in topics including but not limited to, developing a research abstract, creating a research poster, and PowerPoint, successfully navigating through the academy as a STEM student as well as other relevant topics.

LSAMP- Purdue Summer Research Collaboration with IvyTech- Lafayette (LINK)

Leveraging Institutional Networking and Knowledge (LINK) is a new initiative meant to connect STEM Associate’s degree students with 4-year universities.  By participating in LINK, qualifying STEM students earning their Associate’s degree at Ivy Tech will be invited to conduct research in the summer.

• Alliance for Graduate Education and the Professorate (AGEP) Workshops and Presentations
