WORKSHOP FOCUSING ON GLOBAL POLICIES FOR INFRASTRUCTURE MONITORING AND MANAGEMENT: A PARADIGM SHIFT IN LIFECYCLE COSTS AND OPTIMIZATION OF RESOURCES

Join us this summer for a 1.5-day workshop focused on addressing the key issues related to promoting the sustainability and resilience of our infrastructure. The focus is on infrastructure comprising our transportation network and energy systems. The specific outcomes of the meeting are to: 1) describe a future vision for infrastructure monitoring and management; 2) identify between 4 and 6 major directions in research, education and outreach to transform the current state into the desired state; 3) identify the enabling theories and technologies, as well as education and outreach methods; and 4) propose a set of metrics to measure the progress along the identified path.
