An Indo-US Joint Conference on "Infectious Diseases: Novel Strategies for Design & Development of Vaccines and Drugs", Jan 5-8, 2010 will be held at TIFR, Mumbai. The conference is supported by Indo-US Science and Technology Forum (IUSSTF) and Homi Bhabha Birth Centenary Commemoration 2008-2010, TIFR. US participants have affiliations to Johns Hopkins School of Health, Baltimore, Purdue University, West Lafayette and National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID/NIH), Bethesda. Indian participants are drawn from a host of National Institutes (TIFR, Mumbai, NII, New Delhi, ICGEB, New Delhi, ILS, Bhubaneshwar, IISc, Bangalore, PERD, Ahmedabad, etc) Universities and Medical Establishments. The goal is to review the current trends in vaccine and drug design developments against infectious diseases and build a strategic partnership in research between USA and India. We believe that this conference will generate collaborative opportunities in areas of mutual interest and will enhance scholarly interaction between the scientists from the two countries.
