Climate Mitigation Policies and Food Security

This study assesses the effectiveness of global mitigation polices that are broadly aligned with the different responsibilities of developed and developing countries under the UNFCCC, and examines emission leakage effects as well as impacts on food security in developing countries.

Purdue Improved Cowpea Storage (PICS)

In partnership with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, this five-year project will work to help farmers in West and Central Africa get the most out of their cowpea harvest by introducing them to an inexpensive, non-toxic, triple-layer bag that protects cowpeas from losses during storage.

Purdue's Collaborative Research Support Program Portfolio (CRSPs)

Collaborative Research Support Programs (CRSPs) focus the capabilities of U.S. land grant universities to carry out the international food and agricultural research mandate of the U.S. Government. Purdue researchers are actively involved in six CRSPs.
