Natural Resources and Environmental Science Program

Natural Resources and Environmental Science Program (NRES) is an interdisciplinary program in the Purdue College of Agriculture, which prepares students to solve environmental problems impacting our basic natural resources. Faculty from many departments contributes to the curriculum. NRES is a flexible program that allows students, working closely with an academic counselor, to develop a personal curriculum to meet their career goals. Division of Environmental and Ecological Engineering

Environmental and Ecological Engineering (EEE) offers several interdisciplinary programs of study, and serves as a first portal through which students may access related curricula offered by the College of Engineering. Engineering students interested in environmental and ecological issues, concepts, and problems, are encouraged to consider the EEE programs.  As an interdisciplinary area of study, Environmental and Ecological Engineering borrows expertise and approaches from the established disciplines throughout engineering and science.  EEE provides curricular programs that mirror this interdisciplinary engineering approach, and use the environment as the central organizing focus.  Learn more…    

Environmental and Natural Resources Engineering

Energy, food, water, and the environment are vital for the well-being of both current and future generations. The Environmental and Natural Resources Engineering major offered by the Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering prepares students for careers that address these and other vital concerns. Employment opportunities for graduates include engineering for consulting firms and government agencies responsible for environmental conservation and quality, facilities design, safety engineering, engineering managment, private consulting, teaching in colleges and universities, and research in industry and government.  Learn more… 

Environmental Politics and Policy Minor

The Department of Political Science offers a minor in environmental policy and politics to both Political Science majors and majors in other departments and colleges. The minor offers students a solid grounding in the process of making and implementing both domestic and international environmental policies, as well as elective courses related to specific topics including: environmental law, regulatory policy, markets and the environment, and global green politics.
