SUPPORT THE VITAL WORK OF PURDUE'S CENTER FOR THE ENVIRONMENT

The Earth's resources are being consumed and modified at unprecedented rates. Our collective global economic future and quality of life are intrinsically dependent on a healthy natural environment. Center Director John Bickham and Center for the Environment researchers are working to develop new ways to model and predict the impact of anthropogenic influences on ecosystems, monitor environmental quality, manage our natural resources, and develop new technologies that will help create a cleaner environment.

Support this important work by making a contribution - visit https://awc.alumni.purdue.edu/ud_mag.asp You must enter the words "Center for the Environment" in the Special Instructions box in order for your donation to benefit the Center for the Environment.

Below are a few examples of how your donation can result in progress toward science-based solutions to environmental problems:

  • $250 - helps defray costs of center events, like student research symposia and public workshops
  • $1000 - sends a graduate student to present their research at a national science meeting
  • $5000 - pays the travel expenses for one researcher to participate in a field trip to Guatemala, Azerbaijan, or another country to conduct research on biodiversity and other related environmental issues
  • $30,000 - provides seed money or a one-year graduate assistantship in support of new, cutting-edge environmental research at Purdue
