Dr. Dennis Todey - USDA Climate Hub Director campus visit (Feb 20-21)

Dr. Dennis Todey, Director of the USDA Midwest Climate Hub (https://www.climatehubs.oce.usda.gov/hubs/midwest), will be visiting the Purdue University campus February 20-21, 2018. During his visit, he will meet with individual faculty and research groups to discuss collaboration opportunities, learn about the latest campus research, and to share details about the Hub's mission and goals. Anyone interested in meeting with Dr. Todey should contact Melissa Widhalm (mwidhalm@purdue.edu) as soon as possible.

The PCCRC will also be hosting a lunch with Dr. Todey on Tuesday February 20, 12 - 1:30 PM, in Marriott Hall. Dr. Todey will provide an overview of the Hub’s mission and their interest in developing new partnerships with land grant universities in the Midwest. Following these remarks, Dr. Todey will answer your questions and provide you an opportunity to share details about your own research program. Bio: Dr. Dennis Todey is the Director of the USDA Midwest Climate Hub in Ames. IA. The hub supports climate and agriculture issues in an eight state region covering most of the Corn Belt delivering actionable climate information for agriculture throughout the region. He was previously the state climatologist South Dakota and Associate Professor at South Dakota State University. He has worked on regional collaboration of climate services in the Missouri River Basin and Midwest for over a decade in conjunction with NOAA, Regional Climate Centers, state climatologists and state extension.  He was the president of the American Association of State Climatologists from 2010 to 2012.
