Current Students

  • John Bolhmann - Computer Science Major. John is the Co-Founder of the Digital Literacy Contest where participants compete, find and evaluate information online beyond the use of Google. He has also created the Digital Democracy Contest which is a spin off of the Digital Literacy Contest that encouraged citizenship amoung high school students & created Coding Cognitions which is a blog dedicated to coding. John is currently developing a business to improve human and computer interactions (a new way of interacting with mobile devices), was a 2008 Burton D. Morgan Business Plan Competition Winner and a recipient of the MacArthur Young Innovators Award.
  • Tony Coiro - Physics Major. Tony developed an electric motorcycle and is starting a company with a venture capitalist in Austria during the summer of 2011. He is participating in the 2011 Burton D. Morgan Business Plan Competition and involved with the Indy 500 in the development of an electric vehicle track. Tony Co-Founded the Electric Vehicle Club and currently teaches physics at the National Youth Science Camp where only 2 graduating high school seniors are selected to attend from each state.
  • Landon Young - Landscape Architecture Major. Landon is the Co-Founder and CEO of World Help Solutions (WHS) and Founder of Young Design. WHS seeks to provide efficient and effective ways to elevate the quality of life of impoverished people around the world through asset-based design and the implementation of systems, technologies and social problems. Young Design provides environmental design and site planning. Landon strives for empowerment through education and training.

  • Neil Mylet - Agricultural Economics Alum. Neil is the Founder of LoadOut Technologies which was launched in 2009. LoadOut Technologies is a smartphone industrial automation technology to monitor and control processess. The markets include grain terminals, feeding lots, aggregation, manufacturing etc. Neil's technology has been featured on Truckinginfo.com, AgriNews, Farm Journal Magazine, iPhone Band and INside Indiana Business. He currently has 15 interns/recent graduates from Purdue working for LoadOut Technologies.
  • Maria Roa - Managament Alum. Maria is launching Qvit, a company that provides a customized form of online apparel shopping. She interned with Versace in NYC, was a finalist in Ball State's Nascent 500 Business Plan Competition, an Elevator Pitch Contest Winner and Peterson Entrepreneurship Scholarship Recipient.
  • Eric Vong - Management Alum. Eric Co-Founded SoapBox Soaps in 2009 with a childhood friend. For every bar of soap sold from their website, SoapBox Soaps delivers a bar of soap to a child in need somewhere in the world. They work with manufacturers that provide handmade, certificate organic soaps and are working with the Clean World Foundation to distribute their products domestically and internationally. SoapBox Soaps is currently competing for a $25,000 grant in the Pepsi Refresh Project.
