Students learn energy efficiency at workshop

Students learned about the new government-funded Hoosier Heavy Hybrid Center of Excellence Wednesday, where they were given information on energy efficiency in transportation as well as in their own lives.
The event served as a kick-off for the new Center of Excellence. Representatives from the centers industry partners, Cummins, Allison and Navistar, gave presentations on the challenges and opportunities of hybridizing heavy-duty vehicles.
