Hydrogen Symposium 2009 - April 22 & 23          ENERGY CENTER

Hydrogen Symposium 2009

Join us in West Lafayette, Indiana for the 4th Hydrogen Symposium at Purdue University, a unique opportunity to expand understanding and exchange state-of-the art knowledge in hydrogen science and engineering. This fourth symposium expands our series into the topic areas of physics and hydrogen utilization for automotive and the aerospace applications. The 2009 symposium will be divided into three primary areas with more than 15 presentations from industrial, national lab, and academic leaders in the field:

basic science   Basic Science
Science of hydrogen storage in materials: neutrons, x-rays, and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) probes Development of fuel cell technologies, catalysis

h2 production   H2 Production & Storage
Large-scale production methods such as fusion torch process, electrolysis, and biological methods Solid-state storage systems (metal hydrides & cryo-sorbents)

h2 utilization   H2 Utilization & Vehicle Demonstration
Lessons learned from aerospace propulsion systems, large scale distribution and safety Automotive applications, portable devices

Technical papers from all invited presentations will be made available to all registrants via Web publishing. This two-day symposium is organized to promote networking and interactions with your peers in the field. Come to forge future collaborations and advance the frontiers of science and engineering in hydrogen research.
