Biography
Dr. Buckmaster has conducted research in several aspects of harvest, storage, processing, and feeding which affect hay and silage utilization by ruminant animals. He is interested in applying this knowledge to biomass for energy systems as well. Current work includes development and evaluation of improved forage and biomass harvest and delivery equipment with focus on improving access to plant nutrients which will, in subsequent processing, maximize extent and rate of conversion.
