Biography
Areas of active research include corn and sorghum genetics and plant breeding focusing on crop genetic resources and technology development. Research experience includes development and evaluation of traits associated with grain and cellulosic feedstock quality for biofuel production and performance including effects of grain and forage quality and composition characteristics on ethanol production and fermentation efficiency.
This program provides statewide leadership in maize improvement, developing close relationships with industry throughout the United States.
