Purdue graduate student Feng Yu going to Qinghai for the Ecopartnership project

L-THIA (Long-Term Hydrologic Impact Assessment) is a decision support tool that is used to incorporate water resource issues into the decision-making process for effective land use planning.
Mr. Feng Yu is a PhD student from the Department of Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Sciences at Purdue University working with Professor Jonathan Harbor, one of the original creators of L-THIA. Mr. Yu's main research interest is developing a version of L-THIA specifically focused on land use management practices and decisions in China (L-THIA-C). Mr. Yu's visit, as part of USCEES' Integrated Water Management Project in Qinghai, China, will mainly be focused on conducting data assessments and meeting environmental professionals and local planners in Qinghai in order to identify their needs and expectations for L-THIA-C as a decision making tool.
