2014 USCEES Purdue University Chinese visiting scholar reception
March 31 @ 3:30 PM - 7:30 PM - The atrium of Gerald D. and Edna E. Mann Hall
Dear colleagues visiting from China:
A little over one year ago, Discovery Park’s US-China Ecopartnership began an initiative to reach out to all of the nearly 200 visiting scholars from China working at Purdue. We created a visiting scholars network and hosted what we hoped would be an annual Chinese Visiting Scholars and Hosts Reception. Our first reception was one year ago and it was attended by over eighty participants. We were excited to see all of the diversity of ideas and talents each of you brings to our campus. To celebrate the new cadre of your contributions in developing broader ties to the Purdue community and future opportunities that brings, we are hosting our second annual Chinese Visiting Scholars and Hosts Receptionfor all Chinese visiting professors and students regardless of your discipline on Monday, March 31, 2014 from 4 pm to 7 pm in the atrium ofGerald D. and Edna E. Mann Hall. This reception is free of charge to you and your faculty host.
At the event, you will have the opportunity, and it is purely optional, to present a poster (the suggested size: 48” (121.9 cm) x 36” (91.43 cm)) to highlight either proposed collaborative work at Purdue or research from your home institution. If you need assistance printing your poster, please contact the reception coordinator Dr. Fan Wang firstname.lastname@example.org no later than March 25, 2014. There will be time to network with the other visiting scholars from China and Purdue faculty and administrators while enjoying a refreshments and a light dinner.
We hope that you are able to join us for this event. Please use the following registration form http://tinyurl.com/o4o28kato tell us if you plan to attend this reception. Please complete your registration by no later than March 27, 2014. Also, please convey your intent to participate to your Purdue faculty host.
