Suggested format for Pre-Proposal (Deadline: April 2, 2007)
Preproposals should include a 1-page summary and no more than 6 additional pages.

- What evidence suggests that this game can/will help students to learn the concepts that are covered on the traditional class?

- Descriptions of player’s experience
- Method for embedding learning in the game
- Instructional design of the game
- Method for feedback, assignments
- Learning objectives
- Key collaborators
- Abbreviated curriculum vita with prior relevant experience and qualifications
- Description of previously developed materials to be utilized in game design

- Description of other grants that can pay for part of the development
- Equipment on hand to do development and deployment

Semi-finalists will be asked to also submit a full proposal (Deadline: June 1, 2007)
Full proposals should be no more than 15 pages excluding attachments.

- What is your technical approach for: rendering, AI, interface, human input device implementation?
- What is the architecture for game engines: audio, video, AI, player input, physics (if any)
- Is game an original creation, a modification, or a hybrid?
- Design Document
- What will the player’s experience be?
- How will they move through the game?

- How will players recieve feedback?
- Include flow charts for player actions and reward system relationships

- What features or designs will make the game enjoyable for the duration of gameplay?
