Grant will help farmers deal with changes to climates

Purdue University researchers have been awarded a $5 million grant from the USDA to develop decision-support tools to help corn and soybean growers adapt their practices to changes in climate. The 5 year project, called U2U for useful to useable, is led by Linda Prokopy, an associate professor of forestry and natural resources.

Purdue's Jeff Trapp part of month-long field research campaign to improve severe storm prediction

As a principal investigator in the NSF-funded Mesoscale Predictability Experiment (MPEX), Jeff will be collecting data with three radiosonde launch units operated by Purdue and NSSL in vehicles that will maneuver around late-day thunderstorms.
