The Dynamics of Climate conference is designed to prepare participants to use the professional development toolkit for climate science education and provide up-to-date information on climate science and the Next Generation Science Standards as related to climate education. The conference and toolkit take a climate system approach to understanding how the Earth’s climate is changing. The conference:

  • Introduces participants to the Dynamics of Climate program and toolkit
  • Exposes participants to the Activities for Conceptualizing Climate and Climate Change and links to classroom lesson plans
  • Updates participants on the NGSS and climate education
  • Includes scientific and educational keynotes and speakers
  • Provides the opportunity to Interact with scientist panel
