Space Assignments

Space assignments in the Bindley Bioscience Center are based on the needs of individual projects, and not regarded as permanent. As part of the agreement to occupy project space at the BBC, all faculty occupants must maintain a home office in their departments during their occupancy at the BBC.

Space assignments are made by the Bindley Space Committee. The Space Committee, which is chaired by the deputy director of the BBC, is composed of members of the administrative staff and a faculty member who have active research programs housed within the BBC. The Bindley Space Committee reviews space assignments annually. This review provides the committee with an opportunity to accommodate and adapt to immediate needs, emerging collaborations, and interdisciplinary opportunities in order to ensure the resources of the BBC are being used in the most productive manner.

When a project ends, the researcher will be asked to work with the BBC Center operations manager to structure an exit protocol. Should a researcher choose to vacate his/her Bindley space, the researcher should contact the BBC Center operations manager immediately to structure an exit protocol. Researchers are expected to return labs and offices to their original move-in condition.
