Biophysical Analysis Laboratory Facility Director
Phone: (765) 496-6533
Email: ma420@purdue.edu

Dr. Ma received his Ph.D. in biochemistry from the City University of New York. His doctoral project involved analyzing molecular interaction changes with cellular iron fluctuations. Dr. Ma performed his postdoctoral research under the mentorship of Dr. Peter Schuck in the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering at NIH, where his research focused on developing new biophysical methods to characterize macromolecules and study protein interactions in biological fluids. Dr. Ma is interested in studying macromolecular assemblies by adapting and advancing biophysical techniques, such as analytical ultracentrifugation, isothermal titration calorimetry, fluorescence spectroscopy, and biosensors.
