Deliberate Innovation for Faculty (DIFF) Directors

Deliberate Innovation for Faculty, or DIFF, provides mentoring for Purdue innovators who have an interest in translating their inventions to the public through commercialization, collaboration or entrepreneurship. Each DIFF director is undertaking a transformational project to fundamentally enhance the Purdue entrepreneurial ecosystem, such as working to include entrepreneurship and technology transfer as valuable enhancements to basic research. DIFF directors, working with assets from the Burton D. Morgan Center and the Purdue Research Foundation’s Foundry, provide direction for Purdue innovators from early stage discovery and ideation to commercialization or startup formation. DIFF directors working within their designated domains provide direction for commercialization activities such as funding sources, market research and business planning.
