A Purdue University entrepreneurship program received a national award for its engagement and innovation. Purdue’s Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Innovation program, administered by the provost’s office, was selected Tuesday (June 13) as recipient of the Excellence in Curriculum Innovation in Entrepreneurship Award at the Deshpande Symposium Awards.

Elevate Purdue Foundry Fund makes $160,000 in ‘Gold Award’ investment in 2 startups

INDIANAPOLIS and WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Elevate Purdue Foundry Fund officials announced Tuesday (Jan. 10) that two Purdue-affiliated startups have attained “Second-Tier Gold Award” status and will each receive $80,000 in funding to advance their startups.

Elevate Purdue Foundry Fund announces awards totaling more than $1 million to Purdue startups

December 5, 2016

INDIANAPOLIS and WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Elevate Purdue Foundry Fund officials announce today (Dec. 5) that the program has now awarded $1.06 million to 44 Purdue-affiliated startups since the program's creation in 2014. The additional $160,000 awarded to eight startups today, brings a total of $880,000 to 44 startups as First-Tier Black Awards in the amounts of $20,000 each. The fund also has provided another $180,000 to three companies that reached the "Gold" or "Tier Two" level of support from the fund.

Purdue Foundry, Wasson Enterprise partner to create impact with Purdue innovations

CHICAGO and WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Wasson Enterprise and Purdue Foundry officials announced Wednesday (Aug. 24) an agreement to help identify new ideas and technologies to accelerate bringing innovations to the marketplace. Located in Discovery Park's Burton D. Morgan Center for Entrepreneurship, Purdue Foundry assists Purdue-based entrepreneurs create startup companies. Wasson Enterprise is a Chicago-based investment firm dedicated to assist entrepreneurs' through angel investing, marketing, consulting and providing other support. The two will collaborate to identify commercialization opportunities and help bring them to the marketplace.

Purdue Foundry, M25 Group to partner on startup investment, mentor opportunities

CHICAGO and WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – M25 Group and Purdue Foundry officials announced Wednesday (May 18) an agreement that will identify Purdue technologies and startups for possible investment and mentoring opportunities. The Purdue Foundry, an entrepreneurship and commercialization hub in Discovery Park's Burton D. Morgan Center for Entrepreneurship, and M25 Group, a Chicago-based venture capital firm, will collaborate to identify new and emerging ventures and collaboratively work to advance the startups through funding, mentoring and networking and business competition activities. M25 Group focuses on Midwest-based startups and has investments in Chicago, Lafayette, Indiana, Indianapolis, Pittsburgh and Milwaukee.

Elevate Purdue Foundry Fund provides $100,000 funding to five startups

INDIANAPOLIS and WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Five Purdue-affiliated startups each received $20,000 in the latest round of funding for Elevate Purdue Foundry Fund First-Tier Black Awards, officials announced Tuesday (May 17). "The Elevate Purdue Foundry Fund meets a critical need for startups, especially those in the early stage of their development," said John Hanak, Purdue Ventures managing director. "This is the fifth round of awards and, as always, the selection process was highly competitive and the decisions to invest were very difficult."
