Benefits to Manufacturing
 There are a number of FREE energy system analysis applications available for manufacturers to use to assist their efforts in analyzing and improving their performance. These applications, along with significant, additional information can be found on the U.S. Department of Energy, Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) site.
Information on EERE's Industrial Technologies Program (ITP) activities in Indiana, including a state incentives and resources database, a map displaying ITP activities (energy savings assessments, Industrial Assessment Center reviews, ITP Events and Training, and ITP Partner Projects) and other information can be found on the Indiana ITP web page.  The Green Suppliers Network (GSN) is a joint effort of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and the U.S. Department of Commerce, National Institute of Standards and Technology, Manufacturing Extension Partnership Program. This site contains a wealth of valuable information to assist manufacturers' sustainable manufacturing efforts, including:

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency "Design for the Environment" (DfE) has worked with more the 200,000 business facilities employing approximately 2 million workers in partnerships focusing on industries that combine the potential for chemical risk reduction and improvements in energy efficiency with a strong motivation to make lasting, positive changes. The U.S. Department of Commerce International Trade Administration sustainable manufacturing web page contains a wealth of information and links to U.S. Government programs and resources in support of sustainable business. This partial listing of U.S. government programs includes resources in the Departments of Commerce, Energy, Labor, Agriculture, and State as well as the EPA.
The site also contains information and a link to the Database for State Incentives for Renewables and Efficiency (DSIRE), maintained by the North Carolina State University Solar Center and the Interstate Renewable Energy Council, with funding provided by the U.S. Department of Energy.
