FAST

Professional Development Series That Puts You on the Fast Track

FAST (formerly the Mentoring Institute) is advancing the success of newly hired assistant professors by providing strategies and tips to guide participants through the critical first years. With insight from experienced professional, participants gain the resources and confidence necessary to progress as professors and scholars.

At monthly seminars, first-, and second-year professors will enjoy the opportunity to network with senior faculty from across campus and form critical mentoring relationships. Guest speakers, including top administrators, will share advice on topics such as promotion and tenure, grant writing, recruiting and mentoring graduate students, publishing, teaching and achieving work-life balance.
