Proposal Support
The e-Enterprise Center provides significant support in the proposal creation process for large, multidisciplinary project opportunities. e-Enterprise acts as the proposal creation administrator and coordinator. In this role e-Enterprise personnel experienced with large project proposing and management facilitate definition of the proposal outline and assignment of proposal content to technical team members, monitor content submissions, and coordinate reviews of content among the team members.
e-Enterprise also is a repository for significant previous proposals created through Discovery Park and a set of proposal "subroutines" and "boilerplate" that can be used in the creation of new proposals. The subroutines/boilerplate include a description of Discovery Park and its mission, goals, and organization; descriptions of the project management and administration services offered by e-Enterprise and Discovery Park; definitions of previous educational outreach programs; specifications of previous project reporting plans and procedures; and summaries of pertinent past and ongoing Discovery Park and Purdue research projects.
As a result of the support provided by e-Enterprise and Discovery Park, the principal investigators for the proposal are able to concentrate on creating the technical and scholarly content of the proposal that is unique to the project and focus on making the funding and cost-sharing decisions required.
