Low income Purdue students that filed a FAFSA for the current academic year and plan to take the GRE can apply for a certificate that will waive half the exam fee. Only one certificate may be issued to each eligible student.

If you will take the GRE between July 1, 2016 and June 30, 2017, a completed 2016-17 FAFSA is required. If you meet the following criteria based on your 2016-17 FAFSA results, please fill out and submit this request form online.

To be considered for this fee waiver, you must be a U.S. citizen or resident alien and one of the following:

  • Dependent senior with a Parental Contribution of no more than $2,500
  • Self-supporting senior with a contribution of no more than $3,000
  • Unenrolled, self-supporting college graduate that filed a FAFSA and has a contribution of no more than $3,000

Please allow a minimum of one week for processing. Once processed, you will receive an email from facontact@purdue.edu asking you to come to our office, Schleman Hall, Room 305, to pick up your form.
