Types of Aid

There are many types of aid available to help make college more affordable: loans, work-study, scholarships and grants (or free money as we like to call it).

To apply for need-based aid, you should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by March 1 in the year you expect to be attending Purdue. Once your award package is recieved, you will have the ability to accept or deny the offered aid.

What can aid be used for?
