In order to determine your financial aid eligibility, the Division of Financial Aid (DFA) must first download your FAFSA. The DFA usually downloads FAFSAs at least once a week, starting in mid-February. If it is after February and you have filed your FAFSA more than one week ago, check your FAFSA online to make sure it was submitted with Purdue University West Lafayette as a school choice with school code 001825. This allows the DFA to receive your FAFSA information.

After review, if you are still on probation, your aid eligibility will be determined within an additional 1-2 weeks.
A SAP Denial indicates that you do not meet one or more of the Purdue SAP Policy standards. Please review the SAP Policy and submit an appeal to the DFA to be considered for an exception.

The earliest transfer students will receive their financial aid eligibility for the upcoming fall and spring semesters is early April. After early April, your financial aid will be determined within 1-2 weeks. If you are transfering in to Purdue mid-year, contact your previous school to cancel your spring disbursement of aid, then allow 2 weeks for Purdue to award your eligibility.

In order for the Stafford Loan to credit your bill, you will need to accept the loan on your myPurdue account. Log in, select the "Financial" tab, select "Award for Aid Year" on the left side, select the current year from the menu and submit. On the "Accept Award Offer" page of myPurdue, accept the full or partial amount you would like to borrow. If this is the first Stafford Loan you have borrowed, you will need to sign a Direct Loan Master Promissory Note (MPN) and Direct Loan Entrance Counseling on StudentLoans.gov as well.
