Indiana Minority Teacher/Special Education Scholarship
Type of Aid: Scholarship.
Source of Funds: State of Indiana. Administered by the Division of Student Financial Aid (SFA), formerly known as the State Student Assistance Commission of Indiana (SSACI).
Eligibility Criteria: Indiana resident. Full-time enrollment, financial need, satisfactory academic progress, minimum GPA requirements, and other SFA criteria. This grant is available to students seeking their first Bachelor’s degree.
Application Procedures: Complete the application online. Your submitted application will be made available to the first college choice listed on your FAFSA after May 13, 2012.
Application Deadline: June 1.
Amount of Award: $500-$4,000/yr
Period of Eligibility: Eight semesters.
Appeal Procedures: Students who have been denied the Minority Teacher/Special Education Scholarship may appeal that decision with the Indiana SFA.
