Indiana 21st Century Scholar Award (TfCS)

This is a scholarship for Indiana resident students attending full-time, seeking their 1st Bachelor’s Degree, who qualified and initially pledged to the program in the 7th or 8th grade. The award is offered and administered through the Indiana Commission on Higher Education, Division of Student Financial Aid (CHE/SFA).   • Renewal Criteria:

      SFA Annual Deadlines

      • File FAFSA application by March 10
      • Clear all FAFSA rejects and/or SFA edits by their May 15

      Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP). Read Purdue’s SAP Policy here: http://www.purdue.edu/dfa/policies/sap.php

      Recipients that use their 1st TfCS in 2013-14 or thereafter must meet SFA’s Credit Completion Rules

      Recipient must earn a minimum of 30/60/90 credit hours at the completion of their 1st/2nd/3rd years of attendance respectively in order to be considered for TfCS eligibility in the following year

  • Award Value:

      Up to tuition minus other fee-dedicated aid (i.e. Staff Dependent Fee Remission, etc.)

      The scholarship pays to a maximum of 15 hours per term at schools that charge an hourly rate

      It does not cover special or differential fees

  • Period of Eligibility

      Maximum of 4 years of use within an 8–year period.

  • Appeal Procedures:

      Students who have been denied the FOB/HEA due to late FAFSA filing or credit completion denial may appeal to the Division of Student Financial Aid SFA/CHE. Read more about appeals at: http://www.in.gov/sfa/2565.htm
