Financial Aid Award Process

After you submit the application the Division of Financial Aid will process your aid eligibility and send you an email within about 2-3 weeks. The email will refer you to myPurdue to review your eligibility. Keep in mind summer financial aid is limited, and may include only the Pell Grant and Stafford Loan eligibility you did not utilize during the 2008-09 academic year.

Bursar Billing Process

The Bursar will begin sending email notices out regarding summer bills on April 20, 2009 with a due date of Monday, May 18, 2009 for those registered for summer school. Summer school registrations will be cancelled if not paid by Wednesday, May 20, 2009. See more information about the billing process at www.purdue.edu/bursar/PDF/ebill.pdf.

If a summer fee bill is due and aid has not yet been processed you can pay the bill and you will be reimbursed when aid is processed; if this is not an option and you believe you will qualify for financial aid, you may be able to contact our office in person to make arrangements for a bill extension.

Aid Disbursement Process

Excess financial aid for books and rent will be disbursed about a week before classes; more information at www.purdue.edu/DFA/all/aidispaid.php.

Summer School Dates

Summer Module 1 begins May 18 thru June 12

Summer Module 2 begins June 15 thru July 10

Summer Module 3 begins July 13 thru August 7
