GISMA MBA Distance Program

Thank you for considering Purdue University’s GISMA Program.

The Purdue University Division of Financial Aid can assist you in obtaining student loan funding. If you are degreed seeking and meet financial aid citizenship requirements, you may be eligible for the Stafford and/or Graduate Plus loan programs.  International students with a U.S. citizen cosigner may be eligible for alternative loan options.

To be considered for the Stafford and/or Graduate Plus loan programs, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Visit our How to Apply page for more information on how to apply. Our school code is 001825.

If this is the first time that you are borrowing through the Federal Direct Student Loan Program, you will also need to sign a promissory note for each loan program you are submitting a request.  To sign your note visit https://studentloans.gov.

Financial assistance may be available to credit worthy applicants through alternative loan programs. A cosigner is required only if you have no credit, have an insufficient credit history, or are an international student.  You can obtain more information about alternative loans at http://www.purdue.edu/dfa/loans/altloans.php.

You can borrow up to Purdue’s estimated cost of education, which includes allowances for fees and travel.  Maximum loan amounts are listed below:

If you receive any private funding for example through your employer or a scholarship, you are required to notify the Division of Financial Aid (DFA).  You can do so at the contact email listed below.  The DFA is required to monitor all students’ aid packages to insure they are within their costs of attendance.  If we are notified at a later date of additional resources, we are required to adjust your aid package.

Stafford Loan**:           20,500 or the less of cost of education
Graduate Plus Loan:     Cost of education minus other aid
Alternative Loan:          Cost of education minus other aid

**This is an academic year limit.  This program includes a summer semester.  You can either borrow more than your tuition costs during the academic year and save some of your refund for summer or save some loan eligibility to borrow for the summer semester.

The last step required is for you to confirm your enrollment via a link on the home page of your myPurdue account.  This is required before your financial aid will disburse.
