2014 REGIONAL CAMPUS SUMMER FINANCIAL AID APPLICATION:

All fee dedicated aid , such as CVO fee remissions and staff dependent fee remissions, will be processed by the Regional Campus you will be attending. If a separate application and/or documentation is required, it must be submitted to the Regional Campus.

Summer Financial Aid Eligibility:

Pell Grant Eligibility: As long you had Pell Grant in the academic year, but were not enrolled full-time each semester you could be eligible to receive Pell Grant during the summer.

Example: A student who attended full-time in the fall and half-time in the spring, would still have a half-time Pell award remaining for the summer 2014 session.

For further information regarding Pell grant eligibility, refer to the information on our website:  http://www.purdue.edu/dfa/sandg/pell.php

Stafford Loan eligibility: Stafford loan eligibility is contingent on upon your summer grade level and your academic year borrowing.

Example: As a sophomore the annual maximum is $6,500.  If you only borrowed $5,000 during the academic year you could be eligible to borrow up to $1,500 for summer.

If you have not borrowed your annual maximum amount please visit: http://www.purdue.edu/dfa/loans/stafford.php to calculate your remaining eligibility based on grade level and academic year borrowing.

PLUS Loan: PLUS Loans can be taken out to cover the cost of education minus other types of financial aid.  However, these loans require a credit check and not all that apply are approved to borrow.  Please view this webpage for more information: http://www.purdue.edu/dfa/loans/plus.php

Please ensure that you submit your aid application in a timely manner to Purdue West Lafayette Division of Financial Aid and that you have completed the CORRECT Intercampus TEMPORARY Transfer Admissions application at the Regional Campus you plan to attend for the summer 2014 session.  The process to receive financial aid as a temporary transfer can take 4 to 6 weeks once the application is submitted.  Financial aid will be disbursed to the student, and the student is responsible to pay the host institution (Regional Campus) with their financial aid refund.

**At any time a student changes enrollment while attending a Regional Campus for summer 2014 and are receiving aid for that attendance through Purdue West Lafayette Campus, the student is responsible to notify both Financial Aid offices of that enrollment change.**

Download and complete the Regional Campus Summer Aid Application. Return the completed and signed application to the Division of Financial Aid at Purdue West Lafayette. Processing will take approximately 4-6 weeks from the time our office receives the application.
