GRE Reduction Certificate Request

Low income Purdue students that filed a FAFSA for the current academic year and plan to take the GRE can apply for a certificate that will waive half the exam fee.  Only one certificate may be issued to each eligible student.

You must have completed a valid 2012/13 FAFSA application and include Purdue University, West Lafayette as one of your college choices in order for our office to determine your eligibility for this certificate.  Utilizing the results of your 2012/13 FAFSA, if you meet the following criteria, please fill out and submit this request form online.

To be considered for this fee waiver, you must be a U.S. citizen or resident alien and one of the following:

  • A dependent senior with a Parental Contribution of no more than $1,400
  • A self-supporting senior with an Expected Family Contribution of no more than $1,800
  • A self-supporting un-enrolled college graduate with an Expected Family Contribution of no more than $1,800

Please allow a minimum of one week for processing. Once processed, you will receive an email from facontact@purdue.edu asking you to come to our office, Schleman Hall, Room 305, to pick up your form.
