Vet Tech Distance Learning Program

Thank you for considering Purdue University’s Veterinary Technology distance learning program.

Federal, state, and Purdue University student aid programs may be available to you if you meet financial aid citizenship requirements. International students with a U.S. citizen cosigner may be eligible for Alternative Loan options.

To apply for federal, state, and Purdue University student aid programs, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Visit www.purdue.edu/dfa/all/applying.php for more information on how to apply. Our School Code is 001825.

Most types of federal aid, including the Stafford Loan program, require that you be enrolled at least half time (6 hours for undergraduate students). Students who are Pell Grant eligible may receive Pell Grant if enrolled less than half time.

Financial assistance may also be available Private/Alternative Loan programs; however, few private lenders will certify a loan for a student enrolled less than half-time. A cosigner may be required if you have no credit, have an insufficient credit history, or are an international student.

You are required to make payment in full at the time of registration, which is usually thirty (30) days prior to the beginning of the semester. Financial aid proceeds cannot be disbursed until a few days before the beginning of the semester. Since you will have already paid for your courses, the financial aid proceeds will be sent to you as reimbursement.

Please feel free to contact us should you have further questions.
