Federal, state, and Purdue University student aid programs may be available to you if you are degree seeking at Purdue University and meet financial aid citizenship requirements.
To apply for federal, state, and Purdue University student aid programs, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Visit www.purdue.edu/dfa/all/applying.php for more information on how to apply.
Most types of federal aid, including the Stafford Loan program, require that you be enrolled at least half time (5 hours for graduate students and 6 hours for undergraduate students). Students who are Pell Grant eligible may receive Pell Grant if enrolled less than half time. Alternative loan is also available to students enrolled less than half time.
Financial assistance may be available to credit worthy applicants through alternative loan programs. A cosigner may be required if you have no credit, have an insufficient credit history, or are an international student. You can obtain more information about alternative loans at www.purdue.edu/dfa/loans/altloans.php.
