Heidi Dodge

Heidi Dodge

Heidi joined the Choose Well, Live Well Personal Health Team in October 2009. By providing case management and health coaching to customers, Heidi will assist them in maximizing their health and well-being by helping identify health and wellness goals and barriers. Heidi will promote optimum health by assessing, planning, implementing, and advocating for her customer’s holistic healthcare. She will promote quality, cost-effective outcomes by coaching customers in the areas of pre- and post- op, health advisor, preference sensitive care, chronic condition support, and complex case management.

Heidi received her bachelor of science in nursing from the College of Saint Benedict in Saint Joseph, Minnesota. Her interests are in the psychological aspects of morbid obesity, such as food addiction and depression. She is also experienced and has interest in urology, particularly prostate cancer, urinary incontinence, and erectile dysfunction. Heidi's clinical background includes clinical drug trial management, home care, and nursing home care, as well as long-term care, insurance industry claims, and underwriting services. She enjoys gardening, hairstyling, knitting, and spending time with her husband and three girls at home.

 

Christen Dokken

 

As a health educator, Christen is responsible for providing wellness coaching to members through telephonic assessment, education, support and referrals via health and wellness programs.  Primarily, Christen targets programs in stress management, weight management and tobacco cessation, using motivational interviewing and behavior change to help members achieve optimal health and well-being.


Prior to joining CIGNA in 2010, Christen spent more than three years guiding groups and individuals to change behaviors in facets such as nutrition, exercise and stress management. This experience was for a Fortune 500 company as a health coach and as lead nutrition coach at a national fitness center.


Christen earned a bachelor’s degree in dietetics from the University of Minnesota and a bachelor’s degree in human resources management from St. Cloud State University.

 

Amy Estrada

 

As a Live Well Advocate, Amy will promote the improvement of health outcomes to members and assist those members with the burdens of illness and injury and those experiencing more complex, higher acuity and/or account sensitive cases. She will assess, plan, implement, coordinate, monitor and evaluate options and services in conjunction with the physician treatment plan to meet the individual’s health needs within her case load assignments. She will promote quality, cost-effective outcomes managing the care needs throughout the continuum of care utilizing effective verbal and written communication skills, health advocacy and education.

Amy brings a wide variety of healthcare experience and culture to CIGNA. She has case manager and supervisory experience with home health care, hospice and nursing homes. She also has extensive experience as a legal medical consultant for attorneys and IME doctors, preparing personal injury and workman’s compensation cases for defense teams as well as plaintiff law. In addition, she has volunteered for the Salvation Army and multiple mission teams in the jungles of Guatemala.

She earned a bachelor's degree in nursing and is a graduate of the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, Minnesota. She joined CIGNA in 2009 and is based in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.

 

 

Nena Godwin

 

Nena is a registered nurse responsible for providing wellness coaching, medical decision support, information on potential gaps in care to members through telephonic assessment, education, support and referrals to various health and wellness programs. She will use techniques such as motivational interviewing, behavior change, and shared decision making to help people achieve optimal health and well being. Nena will support members working in conjunction with an existing team of health advisors.

 

Nena began her career as a registered nurse, performing case management and homecare for the disabled. Nena also has experience in many acute care settings including work in the hospital as a RN. She has experience working in medical/surgical, rehabilitation, orthopedics, neurology, oncology and heart/lung telemetry. Nena specializes in emergency services and trauma nursing.

 

Tiffany Goodnough

Tiffany Goodnough

Tiffany will provide coaching in lifestyle management programs. She will work with stress management, weight management, and tobacco cessation. Tiffany will determine the level of engagement of the individual and coach based on the individual acuity level, co-morbidities, readiness to change, motivation, and confidence levels

 

Prior to joining the Choose Well, Live Well Personal Health Team, Tiffany spent a year at as a health advisor, educating individuals on lifestyle management changes. In addition, she spent three years in the wellness field as a personal trainer.

 

Tiffany earned her bachelor of science degree in exercise science and a master’s degree in community health from Minnesota State University, Mankato. She is located in Minneapolis and started at CIGNA in 2009.

 

Melissa Grèce

Melissa Grèce

As Purdue’s Live Well Advocate, Melissa will engage the members for medical and behavioral issues. She will be responsible for representing the Choose Well, Live Well Personal Health Team on all the inbound calls. Melissa will educate members in regards to available programs and services, and she will do assessment and triage, check eligibility and benefits, give referrals, claim inquiries, offer programs and resources. She will also be starting the initial requests for other departments.


Prior to joining the Choose Well, Live Well Personal Health Team, Melissa worked at a group home as a residential counselor. In addition, she has three-and-a-half years of experience in a call center and also completed social work internships at a homeless shelter and a high school.

Melissa earned her bachelor of science degree in social work from Minnesota State University, Mankato. She is located in Eden Prairie, Minnesota and started at CIGNA in 2009.


Erin Karst

Erin Karst

As Purdue’s Live Well Advocate, Erin is responsible for providing wellness coaching to members through telephonic assessment, education, support, and referrals to various health and wellness programs. The three main programs that Erin will work with as a Live Well Advocate are stress management, weight management, and tobacco cessation. Erin will use techniques such as motivational interviewing and behavior change to help members achieve optimal health and well-being.


Prior to joining the Choose Well, Live Well Personal Health Team, Erin worked at CIGNA as a personal advocate and then moved into Employee Assistance Program wellness seminar and management training coordination and development. She has three years of experience in health and wellness education and promotion in the business setting as well as one-and-a-half years of coaching on behavioral change.


Erin earned her bachelor of arts degree in sociology, with a minor in psychology, at the University of Minnesota Duluth. Erin is currently pursuing a nursing degree through the University of Minnesota. She is located in Eden Prairie, Minnesota and started at CIGNA in 2005.

 

Helena Kriel

Helena Kriel

As a Live Well Advocate, Helena is responsible for providing wellness coaching to members through telephonic assessment, education, support, and referrals via health and wellness programs. Primarily, Helena targets programs in stress management, weight management, and tobacco cessation, using motivational interviewing and behavior change to help members achieve optimal health and well-being. Helena supports members working with the Choose Well, Live Well Personal Health Team and other CIGNA plans.


Prior to joining CIGNA in 2009, Helena served for seven years as the director of education and CEO of a wellness and yoga training center in Minneapolis.

Helena earned a BA from Carleton College. She will complete an MA in health care management from St. Scholastica in 2010. Helena is a Certified Neuro-Linguistic Psychology Practitioner and holds numerous alternative medicine certificates.


Joan Laska

Joan Laska

As a Live Well Advocate, Joan will be coaching healthy and at-risk individuals around their health concerns and health improvement goals. She will work with each person to assess their readiness to change, provide health education, and motivate them to modify behaviors that are impacting their overall health. In addition to this, Joan will work with others on the Choose Well, Live Well Personal Health Team to assist our customers holistically.

 

Joan has been a nurse for the past 12-and-a-half years. Her experience includes working for a disease management company that provides education and support for members with varied diagnoses using telephony and computer technology. She worked there for seven-and-a-half years as a comprehensive care manager, mentor, leader care manager, and a call value coach. In all these roles, Joan collaborated with other colleagues, departments, and managers to improve product quality and healthy outcomes for members.

 

Joan’s experience also includes working as an MDS coordinator. In this role, Joan was part of an interdisciplinary team completing computerized Medicare and state regulatory assessments for residents, in addition to care planning and case mix. As a home care nurse, Joan provided skilled nursing care extensively with ventilator-dependent patients.

 

Joan worked as a hospital charge nurse on a behavioral unit treating medically-complex patients with psychiatric diagnosis. She was responsible for overseeing patient care, staff training, and supervision.

 

Joan earned an associate of science degree in nursing from Normandale Community College in Bloomington, Minnesota. She started at CIGNA in 2009.

 

Tricia MacDonald

Tricia MacDonald

As the Choose Well, Live Well Personal Health Team Supervisor, Tricia ensures customer satisfaction through operational delivery of quality health advocacy and health coaching services. She will maintain the team of Live Well Advocates and manage their performance and outcomes to the needs of the customer and corporate standards.

 

Tricia is a licensed behavioral clinician and holds a BA in psychology from Mt. Mercy College and a MA in counseling and psychological services from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota. She is currently working toward completing her supervisory certification through the Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy. Tricia brings both management and clinical experience working in diverse settings.

 

Tricia has been with CIGNA for more than two years, most recently working as a clinical team lead, where she worked to form the national authorization team that served as a one-stop shop for providers looking for initial authorization for higher levels of care. She led the team through several new initiatives aimed at increasing member engagement while hospitalized and making sure each member had a solid discharge plan to help reduce readmissions.

 

Prior to joining CIGNA, Tricia worked as a clinical supervisor at a treatment group home, developed and presented educational workshops on mental illness and leadership, provided psychotherapy and crisis stabilization to individuals and families, co-directed an aftercare program for chemically dependent adolescents, and worked as a behavioral specialist on an inpatient psychiatric unit.

 

Joanne Molencamp

Joanne Molencamp

Joanne is a case manager specialist on the Choose Well, Live Well Personal Health Team. As an RN case manager, she is responsible for coaching individuals about their health or their child's health. Coaching needs may include pre- and post- operative states, assisting the customer to identify their health care needs, and working toward their health improvement goals.

 

Joanne, who earned her nursing degree from College of St. Catherine in Minneapolis, brings 26 years of professional nursing experience to the team. Her experience includes phone triage in ambulatory care and emergency department settings; hemodialysis for both adult and pediatric populations, chronically-ill and intensive care settings; labor and delivery nurse, including pre-term and post-partum care for mothers and babies; and case management for individuals with home care medical needs and special needs children, including developmental disabilities.

 

She joined CIGNA in 2009 and is located in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.  


Theresa Parks

Theresa Parks
Theresa is a Live Well Advocate on Purdue’s Choose Well, Live Well Personal Health Team, based in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.

 

Through the case management process, she will promote the improvement of health outcomes to members and assist those members with the burdens of illness and injury and those experiencing more complex, higher acuity and/or account-sensitive cases. She will assess, plan, implement, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate options and services in conjunction with the physician treatment plan to meet the individual’s health needs within her case load assignments. She will promote quality cost-effective outcomes, managing the care needs throughout the continuum of care while utilizing effective verbal and written communication skills, health advocacy, and education.

 

Prior to joining the Choose Well, Live Well Personal Health Team, Theresa has had various positions in her 15 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in the medical surgical setting, community care setting, and assisted living and nursing home facilities. She also has three years of experience as a telephonic health and wellness nurse. She joined CIGNA in 2009.


Tara Schneider, BSN, RN-C
Nurse Case Manager Specialist

 

Tara SchneiderTara is a registered nurse responsible for providing wellness coaching, medical decision support, and information on potential gaps in care to members through telephonic assessment, education, support and referrals to various health and wellness programs. Tara coaches on chronic conditions such as coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, peripheral artery disease, asthma, COPD, diabetes, metabolic syndrome, osteoarthritis and low back pain. Tara supports members working in conjunction with an existing team of health advisors.
She was previously employed as a staff nurse, charge nurse and nurse educator working with children, adolescents and adults with chemical dependency and mental health needs. Her most recent position before coming to CIGNA was RN case manager, where she provided nursing services for adults with complex and chronic illnesses.
Tara graduated from Winona State University, Winona, Minn., with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She has also completed coursework from Winona State University and Rochester Center toward a master’s degree in adult health nursing. She has certification as a psychiatric and mental health nurse.
She is a member of the Wisconsin Nurses' Association and the American Nurses' Association. She is also a member of Kappu Mu Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
Tara started working for CIGNA in 2011.

 

Jessica Soebbing

Jessica Soebbing
As a Purdue Live Well Advocate, Jessica will engage the members for medical and behavioral issues. Prior to joining the Choose Well, Live Well Personal Health Team, Jessica worked as a client manager at a residential chemical dependency treatment center, as program counselor at a mental health facility for adolescents.


Jessica earned her bachelor of science degree in psychology and women’s studies from Minnesota State University, Mankato. She is located in Eden Prairie, Minnesota and started at CIGNA in 2009.

 

Jill Staloch

 

As a Live Well Advocate, Jill is responsible for providing wellness coaching to members through telephonic assessment, education, support, and referrals to various health and wellness programs. Jill will use techniques such as motivational interviewing, behavior change, cognitive behavioral therapy techniques and intrinsic coaching methods to help people achieve optimal health and well being. Jill will support members through intensive case management and coaching on depression and anxiety, and she will answer questions individuals may have about their emotional well being.

 

Prior to becoming a member of the Choose Well, Live Well Personal Health Team, Jill worked as a care manager for the outpatient team at CIGNA for two years. She began her career working with adolescents and families at a residential treatment center that focused on mental health issues, along with alcohol and drug abuse. She is also currently working for a private practice providing therapy to children, adults and families utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy and solution focused therapy.

 

Jill graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She completed her master’s degree in counseling and psychological services from St. Mary’s University in Minneapolis. She is a licensed professional clinical counselor. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and watching golf, football and basketball.
