Purdue Student Help and Crisis Line

If you are a student who needs help and you don't know whom to call, the Purdue Crisis Line, 765-495-HELP (765-495-4357), is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.

Purdue Student Government President for 2013-2014 Kyle Pendergast explains the creation of the help line.

When you call the crisis line, the operator will forward your call to the service at Purdue that can best help with your issue. The crisis line does not replace the 911 emergency number.

If you have an emergency involving an immediate danger to anyone's safety or health, please dial 911. For instance, the crisis line can help you if you are having problems with roommates, dealing with emotional or mental stress, dealing with substance abuse, or have experienced a sexual assault and aren't sure where to turn.
