Professor ZHANG Qingjin discussed the interaction between Confucianism and Christianity, and the transformation of Chinese culture from an economic approach. He believes that Christian values can compensate for some of the inadequacies found in Confucian ethics, and that the rapid development of Christianity in China is likely to lead to signifi cant transformations of Chinese culture.
