2006 Symposium
The New Paradigm, Theoretical Developments and Empirical Studies:
The Third Symposium of the Social Scientific Study of Religion in China
In conjunction with the Summer Institute 2006, a Symposium for the Social Scientific Study of Religion was held on July 15-17, 2006 at Renmin University of China, Beijing. The theme of the Symposium was on “The New Paradigm, Theoretical Developments and Empirical Studies.” About 50 established scholars from the United States, Britain, and China submitted papers and made presentations. Over 60 attendees of 2006 Summer Institute also participated in the symposium.
